Mike Barnett, 2nd Vice Chair for the Mobile Section opened the meeting welcoming everyone to the meeting. Dinner was provided by Café Catering and Nelson Stud Welding sponsored the meeting.

Michael Stephan, Field Sales Representative, and Mark Koester, Regional Sales Manager with Nelson Stud Welding gave a presentation on stud welding and demonstrated how stud welding is currently being utilized amongst various industries and what benefits it has to offer. Everyone in attendance enjoyed trying their hand at stud welding. Michael was presented with a speaker plaque of appreciation from the Mobile Section and Mark accepted an Industry Sponsorship Certificate on behalf of Nelson. The Mobile Section wants to express a sincere “Thank You” to both of these gentlemen for taking time from their busy schedules to travel to the gulf coast area to speak and sponsor the meeting.
Total attendance at the meeting was 32. Students in attendance all received a pair of safety glasses and drawings were held for door prizes.
