by calling 251-378-4162. First of all, I would like to thank YOU! It is my privilege and honor to serve a as 2018-2019 AWS-Mobile Section Chairman as well as the Scholarship Chairman for the year. During the summer members of your Executive Committee have been working to plan the monthly meetings we believe will provide interesting, informative, and beneficial information to all our members. As always, we are open to suggestions or ideas for future meetings and/or plant tours. To provide your input, please contact any of the Executive Committee Members or Officers. Treasurer – Clay Byron – [email protected] We are starting off this year with recognition of our scholarship recipients. The Mobile Section will cover the meal cost of scholarship recipients guest(s), up to two guests, so students remember to bring your parents/significant other. Our AWS Mobile Section should be proud of how we are able raise the funds that support these scholarships. This meeting will allow us to celebrate those efforts and give much deserved thanks to all that participate in providing the funds for scholarships. Our program book for 2018-2019 should be distributed soon, so start looking for yours in the mail. Remember, if you have recently moved, you can update your address and contact information on the AWS website at www.aws.org. This month we have the privilege of having Mr. Mike Biggs of Esab joining us as our speaker. Mike’s presentation will be “Welding Trivia”. This should be fun and educational for all who attend, especially the welding students. As a reminder we now accept credit/debit cards for payment at our monthly meetings. We will be able to keep the same charges of $16 for people who want to pay cash. However, we will pass along the service charges associated with credit card payment.
