Greetings AWS Mobile Section Members,

This month Jody Heusman of Austal will be serving as our speaker. Jody will be providing us with a brief presentation on “Welding Automation” followed by live demonstrations and hands-on experiences. Both OTC-Daihen and Steelmax have agreed to bring some of their latest welding and automation technology. Everyone will have the opportunity to operate Steelmax’s mechanized welding tractors, OTC’s welding machines, and even OTC’s 6-axis welding robot. Bring your welding gear and have some fun.

This month is our annual Student Night and again we have arranged for some special events. We are proud to announce that again due to our sponsors, OTC & Steelmax, we are able to provide free meals to all the students. This meeting has been setup with students in mind including free food, door prizes, and an exciting opportunity to try out your welding skills on some of the latest welding technology. Keep in mind, we will also have our year end door prize drawings again this year for students. The more meetings a student attends the better chance he/she has of winning. The drawings will be held at our April meeting, so attend as many meetings as you can between now and our April meeting for your chance of winning some great prizes.

As a reminder we now accept credit/debit cards for payment at our monthly meetings. However, we do pass along the service charges associated with credit card payment.
