April is National Welding Month!  Celebrate the exciting world of welding by attending this month’s meeting and enjoy the Shrimp Boil.  Lewis Precision & CNC, Inc. will be hosting this month’s meeting.  Owner Gary Lewis and son Josh will be preparing the food for the enjoyment of all attendees.

Lewis Precision & CNC, Inc. is a Precision Machine and Fabrication Company located in Mobile, AL. The company is ISO 9001:2015 Registered and AS9100:D Certified by SRI Quality System Registrar. Started primarily as a precision CNC machine shop in 1997, owner Gary Lewis and his team have expanded their services and capabilities to suit a variety of fields such as: offshore oil & gas, aerospace, military, medical, and shipbuilding among many others. They also house a variety of machines and equipment including: lathes, mills, saws, plasma cutting table, press brake, pipe bending, and a multitude of welding equipment. A brief facility overview will be provided along with a tour through Special Cutters & Grinding, Inc. This unique facility is the Gulf Coast’s only full-service Tool & Grinding shop with CNC capabilities east of New Orleans and is also located in the same facility.

 The Fabrication section features the next generation in plasma cutting technology.  Craig Humphrey will be present to speak on Hypertherm’s newest product, the XPR300 mechanized plasma cutting system.  Representing the Advanced Cutting Systems next generation of plasma cutting technology will be Ken Shannon.   Additionally, Terry Neece of Airgas will speak on the “Safe Handling of Consumable Gases.”
