Greetings Members,

Our special guest and speaker for this month is Mr. Dale Flood, AWS National President and Project Manager of Tri Tool Inc.

Mr. Flood started as a pipefitter/welder, working as a weld superintendent at several nuclear facilities supervising manual and mechanized welding operations. He holds numerous patents for welding automation. He previously served as the AWS District 22 Director covering northern CA and NE, and AWS Director-at-Large nationally and as an AWS Certified Welding Inspector exam supervisor.

As President of the American Welding Society he serves on the Board of Directors, a member of the D10 Committee on Piping and Tubing, the D10U Sub-Committee on Orbital Pipe Welding, and is on the Sacramento Section Executive Committee, and numerous other professional development committees.

This meeting is a joint meeting with the Pascagoula Section and historically is one of our largest attended meetings for the year. Since dinner is being catered your RSVP is a must and must be received no later than noon on Tuesday, March 6th.  We encourage all of you to attend and bring a guest! We will have our usual split the pot drawing along with some door prizes at the close of the meeting. Students don’t forget every meeting you attend increases your chance of being a winner of our grand prizes that will be drawn for at our May meeting.

As of March 1st, the AWS scholarship portal will close and applications for scholarships will no longer be accepted through the portal. Students, if you miss this deadline remember the Mobile Section applications will still be available on the Mobile Section website at http://www.awssection.org/mobile/index.

We welcome your attendance, ideas, and support. Please ask a friend to join you in attending this months meeting! Thank you for supporting AWS and your Mobile Section.
