The AWS Mobile Section is excited to present our October meeting! We are grateful to Faircloth and Roberts for hosting us. Faircloth and Roberts Metallurgical Services is a full-service metallurgical laboratory in Mobile, AL. They provide materials testing and engineering for industries such as pulp & paper, oil & gas, subsea construction, chemical processing, aerospace, and steel production. Their testing services include, but are not limited to, metallurgical testing, failure analysis, chemical analysis, non-destructive testing, third-party inspection services, and engineering services. Additionally, their state-of-the-art welding lab allows for welding procedure and welder qualification.

Brandan Langlinais, Operations Manager of Faircloth, and his team will give presentations and conduct demos. Some of these demos will include mechanical testing of a weld procedure (Tensile, Charpy Impact, & Bend Testing) and failure analysis on a welding related failure.

In Alabama to include Mobile, Washington, Choctaw, Clarke, Baldwin, Escambia, Monroe, Conecuh, Covington, Geneva, Coffee, Dale, Henry, and Houston Counties. 

In Florida to include Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, Walton, Holmes, Jackson, Washington, Bay, Calhoun, Gulf, Franklin,

Liberty and Gadsden Counties.
