Winner of the SAIT Welding Competition

The Section helped host the Southern Alberta Regional Welding Competition.  Forty-five students from 20 different high schools in the Calgary and surrounding area participated. Between the students, volunteers, instructors, and parents, there were approximately 120 people in attendance.  The first-place winner was Evan L. Anderson from The Career and Technology Centre at Central Memorial High School Calgary. 

The Section is appreciative to Robert Hartley, academic chair, Welding Trades School of Manufacturing & Automation, Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, for organizing the event.
