Greetings welding community,

I’d like to thank everyone that attended our April meeting. Our visitors did a great job
interacting with attendees. Thank you to AWS President Eck, AWS VP Krupnicki and AWS Foundation Associate Director Douglass. We look forward to having them visit again in the future.

May’s meeting will be our annual Fish Fry. It will be held at Bennett’s Creek Park in Suffolk on Thursday May 11th. Make sure to bring a chair, as we ran low on seating last year. This event is a great way to meet and mingle with others that share our passion for the welding industry. I hope to see you there.

After our summer break we will be hitting the ground running. Our September meeting will be a tour of Acoustical Sheet Metal Company in Virginia Beach.

As always, our section is looking for new faces to join our executive/planning committee. If you have any interest in joining, please let any board member know and we will add you to our meeting distribution list. We are also looking for meeting and/or tour ideas for our events. If you have any suggestions, please reach out to any of our board members listed in this bulletin.
