Owner Jim Tipke began by producing sprint cars in January 1965 and established Tipke manufacturing. By 1972, he had fabricated Tom Sneva’s rookie Indianapolis car!

Shortly after, Tipke Manufacturing was producing Pedicabs for the 1974 World’s Fair in Spokane. Next came the development and manufacturing of birthing bed assemblies for the Borning Corporation, which have sold internationally.

In 1987, Jim designed and patented the Foldiit Cart which has sold successfully ever since.  In the early 1990’s Tipke Manufacturing moved to its current location on Helena in Spokane.

Although Jim passed away in November of 2015, Tipke Mfg. remains a premiere welding and machining facility that designs, innovates and produces an array of sheet metal and other intricate components for themselves and various local industries.

Come visit Tipke Manufacturing for a behind the scenes tour!
