The Spokane Section of AWS welcomes Scott Shumake of Shumake Designs, creator of Solid Fire Pits, as presenter for this year’s AWS Ladies Night.

After obtaining his welding certificate from SCC, Scott took a welding art class at SFCC. He combined his welding skills and interest in art to create Solid Fire Pits. These tripod suspended fire pits turn heads with their aesthetic designs. Solid Fire Pits have been featured in CDA Magazine, Out There Outdoors, and other publications. Scott will talk to the section about his background, creative process, and welding techniques.

You are invited to bring a guest for dinner and drinks, entertainment and socializing. We will be in the “Stacks” room for a buffet. There is metered parking or a pay to park lot on the north side of the railroad tracks from the Steam Plant Restaurant. We have limited room so RSVP asap to: [email protected]
