Let’s try again! Duane Morrison’s Welding Documentation discussion and student machine set up trial had to be cancelled last week to ensure Section member and student safety.
We are now going to meet on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at the Lebanon, TN TCAT campus for the rescheduled welding documentation technical meeting.
📅Meeting Time: The meeting will be preceded by a social hour beginning at 5:00 PM including food, the meeting with start at 6:00 PM.
📍TCAT Hartsville – Wilson County Campus at 411 Tennessee Blvd, Lebanon, TN 37087
ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (B&PVC) inspector Duane Morrison will be on hand to educate and inform all of us on how to read, understand, and properly use Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and Welder Performance Qualification Records (WPQ).
About Duane Morrison: Duane is employed by Bureau Veritas, and performs inspections at the Lochinvar, LLC facility in Lebanon, TN. Lochinvar builds thousands of ASME Code pressure vessels each year, so Duane understands the documentation involved.
TCAT students will be required to set up machines in their shop using a WPS after Duane’s technical talk.
CWIs, welders, welding engineers, welding supervisors, and others responsible for welding operations are expected to understand the requirements found on Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and other welding documentation.
Come further your welding education or maybe help the next generation of welders understand the welding documentation required by the codes.
➡️RSVP: Send us an email at nashville@awssections.org to let us know whether you are attending in-person or attending on-line.
Professional Development Hours (PDHs) are available for those in attendance.
An email address is required so I know where to send the certificates.
I hope to see you there.
