The Nashville Section is grateful to Walter Sperko, for sharing his time and knowledge with in-person and online attendees of the January AWS Nashville Section Meeting. Walter is President of Sperko Engineering, and one of the most knowledgeable people around when it comes to Welding, welding metallurgy, and ASME and AWS Code compliance.
Walter spent 2 hours going over his “Basic Steel Welding Metallurgy” presentation and answering questions from the group. Walter’s discussion is a small section of the information he covers during his ASME Section IX course, held last and this year through the American Welding Society. The author attended Walter’s Section IX course in October, and highly recommends the course.
