We are excited to announce that SSI will be hosting our April meeting, sponsored by Alpha Supply. Come join us for a wonderful opportunity to visit SSI facilities and hear from our speaker, Patrick Roberts. Mr. Roberts previously held positions at SSI as Technical Program Manager and Director of Operation before being promoted to VP of Sales & Operations. He has held positions in shipbuilding as a Corp Industrial Engineering Manager, as well as Manager positions in Ship Repair Planning, Build Strategy, Engineering, and R&D. He has also been active in the National Shipbuilding Research Program as a Vice Chairman. He is a member of the Society of Naval Architects and Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers.
Mr. Roberts will speak on the current use of ShipConstructor as a Shipbuilding Software Solution for shipbuilders, fabricators, and design agents. The Weld Management design product will showcase areas where the software was utilized to integrate 3D CAD weld designs with robotic welding machines. A “Peek behind the Door” will be provided into some of the R&D areas SSIUSA is currently working on. Mr. Roberts will share education and training opportunities available through the AIDT Maritime Training Center and the SSI MyLearning Center. For students seeking an exciting career, you won’t want to miss this meeting. |
