Welcome Everyone both AWS Members and Guests!

Happy 2023! We hope everyone had a fun and safe Christmas and Holiday break! We welcome back everyone and especially our students! This night is for you! We will be talking about the scholarship portal and handing out prizes for our students. So make sure to attend this free meeting.

We are grateful to Faulkner Career Technical Center for hosting us. We are especially thankful to ESAB for sponsoring our meeting. Mike Biggs from ESAB will give a discussion on ESAB and hobby welding machines. Students will get hands on experience with some welding machines. Please bring your PPE!

About Mike Biggs:
Mike Biggs holds a BS in Metallurgical Engineering from The University of Alabama. He also holds an MBA from Florida State University. 20 years manufacturing large diameter steel pipe, primarily for use in the oil and gas industry. Job titles included Supervisor of Destructive Testing, QA Engineer, QA Manager, Operations Manager and General Manager. Six years working for ESAB as an Account Manager covering the Gulf Cost from the LA line to Panama City.

Instructors – Please post this meeting notice in an area around your school that is easily accessible to your welding students and any student interested in a dynamic career as a design engineer. We are now utilizing Eventbrite for registration so students will need to start registering themselves to attend. You are more than welcome to forward them this meeting notice, but even easier simply print it out and they can scan the above QR Code with their phone to link to our Eventbrite registration page.
