The second Lakeshore Section meeting for 2022 was a presentation by the American Friction Welding company of the rotary friction welding process. The presentation consisted of a video showing various production friction welding applications with samples of actual friction welded components passed among the attendees. The presentation resulted in an extensive question and answer session that addressed the wide variety of metals and dissimilar metals that the rotary friction welding process can weld.
