March 2018 Meeting Announcement – Weld Off

Section Meeting: Friday, March 16th 9:30 am to 2:00pm

Vermont National Guard High School Weld Off

DATE and TIME: Friday, March 16, 2018
9:30AM – 2:00PM

PLACE: Vermont Technical College Randolph, VT

This is the first high school weld off sponsored by VT National Guard

The contest will be given at VTC’s diesel and auto tech shop at Catamount Business Park, Randolph, VT

Directions: exit 4, off I89, turn east on rt 66 at end of exit ramp for only 0.1 mile, turn left into Catamount Business Park, follow signs for diesel / auto tech shop.

Schedule:
9:30 – rules and regulations
10:00 – kids weld projects/ campus tour
12:00 – lunch/ Project grading
1:00 – closing ceremony

AWS green and white mountains section has a table at the event to look for new memberships, to let the contestants know who we are, and provide info about scholarships.  We also have a chance to speak at closing ceremony for the AWS,
