The AWS Cleveland Section offers members the opportunity to learn more about the pipeline welding industry at this month’s section meeting. The meeting will be on Tuesday, November 13th at 6 pm at the Toscana Party Center in Cuyahoga Hts., OH.

David Freeman, the Global Director of the Pipeline Industry Segment for Lincoln Electric, will discuss trends in Pipeline Welding. David will review the current status of pipeline construction in the United States. Topics will include materials and pipeline fabrication processes. David will also discuss future challenges and risks with pipeline welding.

David has worked in his current role at the Lincoln Electric Company for the last six years. Prior to working at Lincoln Electric David was involved with the welded fabrication of components in the power generation and oil & gas industry.

Meeting attendees can get one PDH credit for attending the meeting. Be sure to get a form filled out so the PDH can be used for a CWI renewal.

There’s a networking/social reception starting at 6:00 PM. Dinner will be served at 6:45 PM and the presentation will start at 7:30 PM. We need an accurate head count to insure there’s enough meals for everyone. Reservations should be made through Eventbrite. The cost of the dinner is $18 dollars (10$ for students) when reservations are made with Eventbrite. Dinner rates are $20 ($11 students) when paying at the door. If you have trouble using Eventbrite, or have special dietary needs please RSVP with Mike Barrett: 1-216-383-8345 or [email protected].
