2026 CCWJ Annual Seminar – International Conference: Hand-Held Laser beam Welding
Come join us in Edmonton, AB! The University of Alberta will be hosting our Section’s 2-Day Event on June 25–26, 2026, from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
The International Conference on Hand-Held Laser Beam Welding (HLBW) will bring global leaders in manufacturing, research, and safety to Edmonton on June 25–26, 2026 for one of the first events in the world dedicated entirely to this emerging technology. This conference will provide a complete end-to-end view of the HLBW ecosystem: from laser manufacturing to qualification standards, safety frameworks, and real industrial applications.
Over two days, attendees will gain unmatched insight into how handheld laser welding is reshaping modern fabrication. The program features technical presentations from international experts, demonstrations from leading manufacturers, and panel discussions with regulatory bodies working to establish the standards and safety requirements needed for widespread adoption.
