Cancellation of Annual Christmas Event

Cancellation of Annual Christmas Event

After much deliberation, the St. Louis Section Board has decided not to host the Christmas Party this year. The members of the board felt there would not be enough participation from our members to be finically responsible, our board members take their fiduciary duty seriously.

Another deciding factor for the decision was the lack of participation on the survey email out to the membership in mid-October. This survey was email to all 800+ members of the section and fostered 14 responses. The board members understood the lack of response to mean the membership was undecided or did not feel attending would be feasible.

We traditionally have 260+ participants at the Christmas party and it is always a great time to network, but without knowing how many would be willing to attend, we had no way to accurately plan for this year in the uncertain times we are dealing with.

If you have, any questions or concerns please feel free to reach out to me at [email protected].

If you would like to attend the board meetings, they are open to any members of the section and we meet virtually via zoom. Our next meeting is planned for Wednesday November 10th at 1800.
