January 2019 Section Meeting

Our first meeting of the new year will be held at BNSF’s Havelock Shops

Greetings AWS Members and Friends,

“BNSF Railway is the product of nearly 400 different railroad lines that merged or were acquired over the course of 160 years.” – BNSF.com

BNSF’s Havelock Shops, located in north Lincoln, is a car repair facility for the repair and rebuilding of wrecked and aging cars. The majority of BNSF’s welding takes place at this location where repair, refurbishing, and major rebuilding of any type of rolling stock is carried out on a first shift.

Join us after hours for a look at what a typical day’s weld-related activities might be around the shop with BNSF staff!

• PPE Requirements: Safety glasses, Long pants,Closed-toe shoes
