The American Welding Society is happy to announce that the AWS Careers in Welding trailer will be at the Sioux Empire Fair in Sioux City, SD August 5-7, 2022!
We are looking for volunteers to help staff the trailer in shifts at this event.
All volunteers will receive:
- Free admission to the event
- Parking reimbursement
- A meal voucher
- Careers in Welding T-Shirt
For School Groups – Schools with 50+ cumulative volunteer hours will also receive a Lincoln Electric welder for their program!
Volunteer responsibilities include:
- Facilitating attendee experience on the VRTEX Virtual Reality Welding Machines
- Tracking high-scores (the highest scorer each day will receive a $1,000 welding scholarship!)
- Speaking with attendees about careers in the welding field and scholarship opportunities through AWS
