Welding With Collaborative Robots Presentation
In the presentation, Josh covered various aspects of how manufacturers of all sizes can boost productivity with easy-to-use collaborative robots (cobots). The presentation began with a Vectis user’s first-hand experience of cobot welding – and some of its benefits for manufacturers relative to traditional automation and continue with some of the details/benefits of the Vectis Cobot Welding Tool, which is a fully integrated, ready-to-weld system.
Next, Section members learned what makes a weldment a good fit for automation and some of the keys to automation success that the Vectis team has observed over their 100 years of combined experience in the robotic welding field.
In the end, Josh Pawley provided a live demo of the programming and weld quality of their Cobot Welding Tool.
