Event Summary: The Pittsburgh section held a meeting to finalize the 2024 – 2025 agenda. Discussion included the possibility of purchasing weld flaw samples for the AWS Pittsburgh technical library, to be a teaching aid in the CWI Exam Prep Course. Jim Sekely reminded the attendees that Codes and Standards are available for viewing at no charge, during normal business hours at the technical library housed at the Steam Fitters Local 449 Technology Center. Other notable topics were further discussion of ways to enhance the annual Student Day, and a potential Job Fair where students could bring resume’s meet potential employers and schedule one on one interviews.
