The Pittsburgh AWS Section is proud to present a full line up of plant tours and technical presentations for its members for the 2018 − 2019 year.
I hope that you will find one of the meetings we have scheduled of interest and plan to attend. If you have any ideas for our chapter or suggestions for a future meeting or plant tour, please contact any of our Board members.
Note that we have begun using “Eventbrite” to make and pay for meeting reservations. There will be a pricing discount if paid in advance through this system (see below). I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

38th Annual Student Weld-Off Awards Ceremony –
Tuesday, February 19th, 2019
Title: Carnegie Mellon University Student Race Car Project
Speakers: Katie Lam, Liam Walsh and Kara Nickolich
Carnegie Mellon University Student Race Car Project team will discuss fabrication and welding of the car and will have their car on site for the meeting.
Weld-Off recognition and awards will be presented.
LOCATION:
Steamfitters Local 449 Technology Center
230 Wise Road
Harmony, PA 16037
Directions: I-79 to Harmony Exit / Little Creek Road. Follow Little Creek towards Route 19 to Mercer Road and then turn onto Wise Road into the Technology Center parking lot.
TIME:
6:00-6:30 PM − Social
6:30-7:00 PM − Dinner
7:00 PM − Program
COST:
$15 Members/Guests/Parents | $10 Students (Non-competitors)
Student who competed are guests of the Section.
At door: $20 Adult Members/Guest/Parent | $15 Students
