Ladies and Gentlemen, Come join the AWS North Texas Section and Mr. Eric Shaw from Apex Inspections Inc. as he discusses “Welding Defects and NDT”. |

Mr. Shaw is the President and FAA Accountable Manager for Apex Inspections Inc. His first Non-Destructive Testing experience was with a Texas company working on the Boeing 777 landing gear ultrasonice inspection program, where he obtained his initial NDT training. In 1998 he began a new corporate venture, Apex Inspections, Inc., in the DFW Metroplex to provide Non-Destructive Testing services to other private companies and government agencies. |
This opportunity has led to an extensive gain in NDT experience in many industries and methods of Non-Destructive Testing. Mr. Shaw is a NAS-410 NDT Level III in three methods and a NAS/ASNT-TC-1A NDT Level II inspector in all five methods. He also holds NDT certification for Beechcraft, NAVSEA, Cessna Aircraft, Lockheed-Martin, and GE Engines. He was recently invited to join the Non-Destructive Testing advisory board for the Tarrant County Community College at Alliance Airport in Fort Worth, Texas. He has served as a member of the directors for the AAIRRG Insurance group for eight years and worked with the Aircraft Accident Claims Committee. He is active in his community and a supporter of small businesses thru his work with the NTMA, NTBAA, and other NDT outreach programs.
