Event Summary: Before getting any deeper into 2026, the Nashville Section would like to recognize the passing of 2 members we lost this past year. Ted Weber and Bob Williams were long time members of the Nashville Section, and their presence will be missed. Ted and Bob were not just members of the Nashville Section, they were both very active participants and contributors for the Nashville Section.
Ted and Bob were active in AWS and ASME code development and education. Both Ted and Bob worked hard to increase not only their own welding knowledge, but they also shared their knowledge with all members of the Nashville Section through their technical presentations and other resources shared with the rest of us. Some of their work is now being used to create educational materials to be shared with current members.
The Nashville Section is thankful for the efforts of these two men, and their love of welding and the welding industry.
