Members of the AWS Monterrey Section:
This email is being sent to inform you that the AWS Monterrey Section will be conducting an election to elect active AWS Members to serve in the following Section Officer roles:
- Section Chair
- Section 1st Vice Chair
- Section 2nd Vice Chair
- Secretary
- Treasurer
An overview of each role can be found in the Suggested Duties and Responsibilities for AWS Section Officers and Committee Chairmen.
Individuals seeking to serve in a Section Officer role must possess an active AWS membership other than AWS Student Member and must be assigned to the Section that they wish to serve as an Officer for. Those who are interested in serving in one of the above-noted roles for the AWS Monterrey Section must email [email protected] by 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time on Thursday, November 14, 2024, including their full name as it appears on their AWS Membership account, their AWS Member number, and the role which they would like to serve as a candidate for.
The election will be conducted via electronic ballot between 9:00 AM Eastern Standard Time on Monday, November 18, 2024 and 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time on Wednesday, November 20, 2024. An email will be sent to all members assigned to the AWS Monterrey Section on Monday, November 18, 2024 to provide them with a link to the electronic ballot.
Per the AWS Bylaws, each member of every class, other than a Student Member, shall have the right to one vote on any matter submitted to the members. Student Members shall not have the right to vote or be eligible to hold an elected office except in Student Chapters. Students may hold appointed offices in Sections.
Those who wish to participate in the election must include the following detail on their ballot submission:
- Name as it appears on their active AWS Membership account
- AWS Member #
In order for a vote to be counted, the voter’s AWS membership must be active at the time their vote is placed, and their AWS Section assignment must be the AWS Monterrey Section.
