Event Summary: The May meeting for the AWS Mobile Section was held at the AIDT Maritime Training Center in
Mobile, AL. Jeff Lipko with Lincoln Electric Co. was the speaker for the evening. Mr. Lipko gave a
presentation on Additive Manufacturing. A special thanks goes to Lincoln Electric for sponsoring
the meeting.
There were 46 members and guest in attendance at the meeting.
Before the close of the meeting a drawing was held for students that attended the most meetings
for the year. Congratulations to the winners! Bryce Hop, a student at Pensacola Hight took home
the 1st place prize. Bryce won a Lincoln Sprinter 180SI. The 2nd and 3rd place winners were Dakota
McCoy and Austin Peck. All three of these students attended every meeting. Other door prizes
were also given out.
