November 10, 2021 – Baptist Health Care; Pensacola, FL
On November 10, Northwest Florida State College’s Welding students were treated to a tour of the construction for the new Baptist Health Care campus on Brent Lane in Pensacola, Florida. Before the tour, the students were given a safety briefing for being on an active construction site. The students were guided through the main hospital building to see how a commercial structure is made. The next stop was the 3rd-floor penthouse, where the students got to observe a tower crane conducting a materials lift. The tour then went through the Bear Family Foundation Health Center. The welding students got to see the weld connections used to connect the steel beam that makes up the support structure of the health center.
