March 2018 Meeting Announcement

Dear AWS Lancaster Members,

We are excited to announce a presentation on “Mechanizing the Welding Industry” presented by current AWS President, Mr. Dale A. Flood. This will be a joint meeting with the York AWS Section.

EVENT:
Presentation by Mr. Dale A. Flood, current American Welding Society President and Welding Project Manager, Tri-Tool Inc.

TOPIC:
Mechanizing the Welding Industry

Dale started as a Pipe fitter / Welder, and worked as a Weld Superintendent at several nuclear facilities supervising manual and mechanized welding operations. Currently Dale is working as a Project Manager. Dale has numerous patents for welding automation.

As president of the American Welding Society he serves on the Board of Directors, is a member of the D10 Committee on Piping and Tubing, the D10U Sub-Committee on Orbital Pipe Welding, is on the Sacramento Section Executive Committee, and numerous other professional development committees. Dale previously served as the AWS District 22 Director Covering Northern California and Nevada. He is a Director-at-Large nationally and is also an AWS Certified Welding Inspector.
