Event Summary: Inland Empire Section had the opportunity to speak with the Columbia Basin College 1st year welding students to kick off the 2025 new year. Students were informed of the scholarship opportunities provided by the American Welding Society, they also learned about the free membership that is offered for just being a student. The majority of these students had no familiarity with AWS until the event. Both students and teachers got the opportunity to get inside look on what the AWS foundation is all about. Afterwards, a Q&A was held further more sparking, great questions and conversation about the American Welding Society.
