Event Summary:
The AWS Holston Valley Section, in collaboration with the Tennessee College of Applied Technology-Elizabethton, was thrilled to host Juvenal Calvo, Vice President of TipTig USA, at our January 2025 meeting. Mr. Calvo delivered an in-depth presentation on the advanced capabilities of TipTig equipment for high-deposition, high-production rate GTAW, sparking great interest among attendees.
Beyond the presentation, participants had a unique opportunity to experience TipTig welding firsthand, applying the technology on both carbon steel and stainless steel pipe. This hands-on session allowed welders to see the precision and efficiency of the process up close, making the event both educational and highly interactive.
