📖 Topic: Applied Welding Metallurgy – Carbon Steel
This session will focus on structural steel grades ASTM A572, A588, and A709. Attendees will explore how strength is developed in these steels through alloying and manufacturing processes, and how this knowledge informs the selection of welding consumables and procedures for critical projects.

Ben has over 20 years of experience in welding and materials engineering, specializing in welding metallurgy, electrode development, and fabrication solutions. He actively serves on multiple AWS committees and has authored numerous technical publications.
