Event Summary: This presentation will provide an historical background on the development of welding codes and standards and how legal and Congressional actions could change this in the near future. Learn what SDOs might do to ensure appropriate quality and safety codes and standards are available without being put out of business. If that happens, who or what organization would write the codes and standards, knowing that the U.S. government no longer writes standards?
