Event Summary: On March 19th, the Eastern Iowa AWS Section toured the Modern Piping Facility. Modern Piping is a third generation family owned company that employs over 500 people at five offices across Iowa and Minnesota. Our local section was able to see the main fabrication plant for all their products and services for the commercial plumbing, piping, sheet metal/HVAC, refrigeration, and compressed air customers. Jim Tedrow, the Piping Operations Leader, guided the tour and answered all questions about the company’s history and the full range of services that Modern Piping is noted for.
