Connecticut Section AWS Meeting Notice

Location: Plant Tour – Burt Process Equipment – 100 Overlook Drive, Hamden, CT 06514 USA
Burt Process Equipment is a global process equipment firm specializing in fluid handling and treatment technologies. We specialize in offering custom solutions from components to turnkey systems for water purification, chemical treatment, and fluid transfer. Within the facility we implement various welding capabilities including Carbon steel, plastic, and high purity stainless steel welding. Our carbon steel welding area is dedicated to the fabrication of skids and support frames. Our plastic department is dedicated to building our tanks and piping assemblies in house, using socket and buttweld equipment, extrusion welders and hot air fusion welders. The stainless department has focused goals of offering higher corrosion resistant options to an array of industry sectors. Our team build full stainless systems from tanks to the inlet and discharge plumbing, primarily using type 304, 316 stainless steel ,and alloy 20, etc. BPE utilizes manual GTAW, GMAW-spray, and orbital welding to deliver high-quality and effective systems for our customers.
This meeting will include assorted grinders and soft drinks before the guided tour of Burt Process Equipment’s facility
Our tour will be lead by:
Tim Lucas –Tim has been with Burt Process Equipment since 2018. Tim is currently the BPE stainless department supervisor / lead welder and is a qualified / certified ASME GTAW and GMAW welder at BPE. He has also obtained an AWS CAWI certification and is currently working towards his AWS CWI certification.
Luc Bonvouloir – Luc joined Burt Process a year ago and is the Project Manager. Luc received his degree in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University.
