Event Report for November 6, 2025 Section Meeting
There were 29 in attendance for the social, dinner, and presentation in room 111 of the OSU Welding Engineering facility on west campus. AWS President Dick Holdren spoke to the group regarding upcoming certification programs. Carson Williams, Senior Aluminum Metallurgist at Hobart Brothers, spoke about the latest developments in aluminum welding including new technologies, innovations, and industry trends. Carson also explained the metallurgical limits to aluminum welding and answered many questions.
