The Cleveland AWS section will be hosting an in-person meeting on Tuesday, April 9th at 6:00 pm.
The meeting will take place at the Airgas Engineering Solutions Center. The Airgas facility is located at 9155 Dutton Dr, Twinsburg, OH 44087.
Arthur Schnitzer will give an overview of what a welding cobot is and how they work. There will be several cobots set up for “hands on” demonstrations. Those attending the meeting can get first hand experience with how welding cobots work, as well as some overview of their applicability vs traditional automation.
Arthur is the Director of Automation Sales and Service for Airgas. He has been working with Airgas for over 10 years; previous positions at Airgas included Weld Process Specialist and Director of Advanced Fabrication. Arthur has CWI, CWE, CWS, and CRAW-T certifications from AWS and is also involved with AWS at the local and national levels.
Pizza and drinks will be provided during the meeting. Food will be provided by the AWS Cleveland Section so there is no cost to attend the meeting.
