The Cleveland AWS section will be hosting an in-person meeting on Tuesday, February 13th at 6:00 pm. The meeting will take place at the St. Demetrios Cultural Center located at 22909 Center Ridge Rd, Rocky River, Ohio 44116.
Andres Acuna will give a presentation on Duplex Stainless Steel. The presentation will discuss the microstructural benefits and challenges of duplex stainless steels and a review on the materials used in weldments.
Andres is a Consumable R&D Welding Engineer for the Lincoln Electric Company. Prior to working at Lincoln he worked in the Oil & Gas Industry and was a Welding Engineering Researcher at Ohio State University. Andres has a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering and doctorate in Welding Engineering.
