Interested in learning about Additive Manufacturing? Come to the October AWS Cleveland Section meeting and find out! The AWS Cleveland Section meeting is Tuesday, October 12th, 2021 at the Lincoln Electric Additive Solutions Center, on Bluestone Blvd, just off E260th Street in Euclid. Mark Douglass, is the Business Development Manager for Lincoln Electric Additive Solutions, responsible for overseeing sales, marketing, partnerships and M&A; he was previously a member of Lincoln Electric’s strategy and M&A team. Prior to Lincoln Electric, he was Vice President, Senior Equity Analyst for Longbow Research, a sell-side equity research firm. Preceding his Wall Street tenure, he was an advanced manufacturing engineer specializing in laser materials processing for Preco, Inc. and Visteon Corporation – in particular laser welding. During this phase of his career, he was a member of AWS and participated on laser welding standards subcommittees. He holds a B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) designation. Mark will be presenting on Large Format Metal Additive Manufacturing (AM) and Lincoln Electric’s new additive business unit, Additive Solutions. He will provide an introduction to large format AM as well as the challenges and considerations in 3D printing large metal parts. There will be a maximum of 50 spots available for this event. The cost of the dinner is $18 dollars ($10 for students) when reservations are made. Dinner rates are $20 ($15 for students) when paying at the door without reservations. Lincoln Electric reserves the right to refuse competitors from attending this event. |
