Mr. Paul McGrath gave AWS members an insider view of their newly renovated 70,000 Sq/ft training center which included touring there
• Welder training area which includes 60 welding booths.
• Plasma Cutting room.
• Orbital welding lab.
• Latest technology in fume extraction by Summit-Filtration.
The tour was followed by a presentation about the inner workings of the pipefitters union with Mr. McGrath answering questions regarding there apprenticeship program. Paul demonstrated to us that the pipefitters union is not just a job but a career.
CM/RI also presented Paul with a Certificate Of Appreciation plaque from AWS for their generous contribution of time and effort in supporting not only the AWS members but the welding industry as a whole.
