On December 5, 2019 the AWS Central Louisiana Section held its 4th Annual High School Welding Competition at the new CLTCC River Side Campus The competition was outstanding with 47 high school students representing 13 High Schools from 5 Parishes.
Deston Garon representing AHS High School won the “Winner Take All Division” and was awarded $1000.00 for his High School Welding program. The award was made possible by a grant from the Rapides Foundation to CLTCC.
