October 2018 Meeting Announcement

Greetings AWS Central Louisiana Section Members & Friends,

The September meeting was fantastic!

DIS-TRAN Packaged Substations allowed our section to tour their facility and observe an Aluminum pipe welding demonstration, the welding demonstration conducted by Brandon Dubroc and Travis Roy was very informative. Some of our attending student members were allowed to give Aluminum GMAW welding a try for the first time.

Our next meeting will be at the Jena – CLTCC Rod Brady Campus, a representative of Harris Cutting Torches will be presenting Cutting processes, equipment and Oxy/fuel safety, as well as cylinder safety.
