Event Summary: Southern Cresent Technical College Student chapter meeting was held on 3/18/26 . 2 meetings were held that day for morning & evening classes. Robert Trudelle spoke to students about the value of AWS studentmembershipsand how to applyfor welder training scholarships. Robert reviewed the roles of the student chapter leader positions, encouraged students to step up, and new leaders were chosen for the outgoing positions due to graduation. Robert discussed how to apply with future companies on employment opportunities. Robert also spoke about the impact AI in the future welding jobs. Robert asked each student about their plans/goals after graduation and gave them some wisdom & guidance.
