Event Summary: GERDAU STEEL MILL hosted a meeting in their plant. TAYLOR & HENRIQUE discussed the process of making steel billets and cutting them into flat bar. They discussed sorting the scrap metal, process of separating the different metals, melting process to 3000 deg., pouring and shaping the billets depending on sizes, cooling process, straightening, cutting into flat bar, straighten flat bar as flat as possible, stacked and band together, and tagged with all the traceable information. During the plant tour, we also visited the testing lab.
