Thank you to Creighton Moore (AWS AK Treasurer), Lou Alvord (AWS AK Certification Chair), Jose Owens, Member, and Darrill Gaschler (AWS HQ) for your attendance.

A special thanks to Darrill Gaschler, AWS Sr. Mgr., Sections and Student Chapters, for his HQ support on hosting the Oct meeting.

AWS Alaska Section 125, Section Officers and Volunteers needed – Ongoing need to officers and volunteers; Contact Alaska@awssections.org

AWS Alaska Section Bylaws – On-Going need for member’s participation to update by-laws

AWS Alaska, Library status – View another AWS Section on their library codes and standards matrix, and Dennis is working the library for the AWS AK Section: Lou will contact UAA on status of past AWS AK Section books

AWS Alaska section is scheduled to host the 2022 District 19 Conference – Decision was made that AWS AK Section will not host the 2022 AWS District 19 Conference

• AWS HQ randomly selects AWS Sections for audit. Alaska Section was selected here recently and working through it. Audits look at activities, finances, and others and give recommendations for improvements.

• December 2021, an Alaska Section member is going to graduate from The Ohio State University Welding Engineering program and forthcoming to feature on her on the Alaska Section website, email distribution and submit to Welding Journal.

• AI, Call Shawn McDaniel on Alaska Section will not host the 2022 District 19 conference
