Foundation, Scholarship Set-Up
Announced that AWS Scholarship Applications start Dec 1, 2021. There will be a reminder note sent to all AWS AK Members on this.
AWS AK Section needs officers and volunteers for the remainder of 2021-2022 and the future.
Announced setting up a Library so members can check out books if need. Still working that.
AWS Alaska Section By-Laws need to be updated to reflect Alaska current needs and update communication methods. The By-Laws just passed it 40 year anniversary (Oct 13 1981)
AWS Alaska section was supposed to host the 2021 (May) District 19 Conference but was canceled due to the COVID 19 logistics. The Alaska Section is supposed to host 2022 District 19 Conference. Need some Alaska Section members to support and attend if Alaska plans to host around May 2022. If no Alaska support, will cancel hosting for 2022.
Announced and then missed setting up next meeting before Thanksgiving. Next schedule AWS AK meeting will try before Christmas Holidays. It will be an evening mid-week on-line event. Members, feel free to have, support and/or host the meeting.
