Scholarships

Dear Members, Instructors, Educators, and Students,

The AWS Alaska Section wants to inform you that the 2020 AWS Scholarships are now open for applications. The objective of the scholarship program is to support individuals attending an accredited trade school, apprentice, technical college, institute, or university in or outside Alaska with an emphasis on welding applications or studies.

To learn more about AWS scholarship information please visit: https://www.aws.org/foundation/page/scholarships To apply for any or all eligible scholarships by filling out one (1) application through the AWS online portal: https://scholarship.aws.org/applications/ Please register on the above AWS portal link and submit your application by the deadline March 1, 2020. Note that some other scholarship deadlines are May 1, 2020 – so submit your applications online as-soon-as-possible.

Additionally, Welding trade schools and apprentice programs for Welders may also be eligible for additional Welder training-focused scholarships. To apply, and for more information please visit: https://www.aws.org/weldertrainingscholarship
