Event Summary: For National Welding Month, we had the pleasure of having the AWS President, Mr. Dick Holdren visit Hampton Roads and the Tidewater Section. He was hosted by Mr. Lynn Showalter and they were able to visit several locations during his stay. Mr. Holdren visited Liebherr Mining Equipment, Plasser America, Newport News Shipbuilding, Acoustical Sheetmetal and Tidewater Tech. He then gave a presentation for our technical meeting, on the different opportunities within the welding industry.
