Field Welder Qualification Testing Process

To be presented by:
Gordon McCaffer, Welder/Fitter Instructor and Section Chairman

Section Chairman Gordon McCaffer will do a presentation on the New York State DOT Field Welder qualification testing process. He is the full-time adult Welding Instructor at Main Campus and a current DOT and AWS Certified Welder. The Weld Lab at Main Campus is the authorized New York State DOT Field Welder testing location for DOT Region 3 which comprises Onondaga, Cortland, Cayuga, Oswego, Seneca, and Tompkins Counties. Come learn the process of becoming a NYS DOT Certified Welder including test specifications and some pointers.
